Job summary

Dears Pharmacy & Travel Clinic in Scotland is recruiting a Pharmacist Independent Prescriber to lead clinical prescribing in one branch, expanding services across the group. This role focuses on patient consultations rather than dispensary work, with access to our central hub and a path to senior clinical leadership.

It includes mentoring trainees and developing services such as ear care, cardiovascular risk assessment, menopause care and weight management.

Qualifications

• MPharm or equivalent and GPhC registration.
• Independent Prescriber on GPhC register.
• UK right to work or sponsorship eligible.

Responsibilities

• Deliver NHS Pharmacy First Scotland and Pharmacy First Plus consultations, prescribing within scope.
• Lead clinical service delivery in the branch with support staff.
• Develop private clinical services: Dears Ear, Heart Check Scotland, menopause care.
• Offer weight management services with clinical review and follow-up.
• Collaborate with local GPs and primary care teams on shared caseloads and referrals.
• Contribute to governance: SOPs, audits, incident reviews, peer discussions.
