Job summary

Spire Norwich Hospital is seeking a motivated Clinical Pharmacist to join the friendly pharmacy team. This part-time role focuses on ward-based patient interactions and medicines management in a modern hospital setting.

You will work flexibly, supporting clinicians and patients with discharge medicines, counselling, and ensuring safe, effective pharmacotherapy while contributing to service development and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Pharmacy (or equivalent) at registration time.
• Current General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) registration.
• Experience applying clinical reasoning across diverse patient presentations.
• Experience as a pharmacist in hospital or community settings.

Responsibilities

Pharmacist | Norwich | 7.5 Hours 1 Day Per Week

Spire Norwich Hospital is seeking a motivated and patient-focused Clinical Pharmacist to join our friendly pharmacy team. This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist looking for flexible working arrangements while remaining clinically active in a modern, supportive hospital environment.

Unlike traditional pharmacy roles, you'll spend most of your time on the wards, interacting directly with patients and influencing clinical decision-making, rather than working primarily in dispensary services.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Deliver a high-quality clinical pharmacy service across the hospital
• Review medication histories, prescriptions, and clinical information to optimise patient outcomes.
• Provide expert medicines advice and support to consultants, nurses, and wider clinical teams.
• Support patients with discharge medicines, side effect counselling, and medication adherence.
• Promote the safe, appropriate, and cost-effective use of medicines.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance patient safety, and drive service development.
• Build strong collaborative relationships with colleagues across multiple specialties
• Contribute to a patient-centred culture focused on exceptional care and outcomes.

Who we're looking for:

Degree in Pharmacy (or equivalent qualification at the time of registration).

• Experience applying clinical reasoning skills across a range of patient presentations and clinical scenarios.
• Previous experience working as a pharmacist within either a hospital or community setting.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Broad pharmaceutical knowledge supported by sound clinical practice.
