Job summary

Voy is recruiting a motivated junior or senior pharmacist to join our team at Verda Park, Wallingford, Oxfordshire. You will help manage pharmacy objectives in line with company growth, reporting to the Superintendent Pharmacist, and support patients and customers in a fast-paced environment.

You will follow SOPs, maintain compliance, collaborate with senior pharmacy leaders, and contribute to service development. Weekend availability is preferred; part-time or full-time considered.

Qualifications

• GPhC registration is essential.
• Proven professional expertise in pharmacy.
• Passion for patient care and pharmacy service.
• Ability to collaborate with a team.
• Solid knowledge of national and local pharmacy services.
• Strong interpersonal communication with customers/patients.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs and Operational guidelines.
• Maintain compliance with practice standards.
• Assist Superintendent Pharmacist to develop and maintain procedures.
• Assist Head of Pharmacy and Pharmacy Manager to run the pharmacy.
• Have responsibility in the Pharmacist Manager's absence.
• Check dispensed prescriptions and coordinate courier deliveries.
• Identify near misses and create corrective action plans.
• Work with Risk and Safety to investigate incidents and implement fixes.
• Coordinate with Service and internal teams to ensure timely dispatch of orders.
• Contribute to service development and patient experience improvements.
• Train and develop pharmacy staff with the Pharmacy Manager.
• Collaborate with the compounding team to supply medicines.
• Support inventory management with Supply Chain team.

We are looking to hire a driven and ambitious junior or senior level pharmacist to join our team in Verda Park, Wallingford, Oxfordshire (United Kingdom)!

This is an ideal role for someone who wants to challenge themselves in a fast-paced environment and manage pharmacy objectives in line with company growth and strategy. You will join a growing team and have a meaningful impact on our patients and customers, reporting in to the sites Superintendent Pharmacist.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Follow our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Operational guidelines
• Maintaining compliance with our practice standards
• Helping the Superintendent Pharmacist to develop, implement and maintain Pharmacy procedures and processes.
• Working with the Head of Pharmacy and Pharmacy Manager to help run the Pharmacy
• Deputise for the Pharmacy Manager in their absence
• Checking dispensed prescriptions and sending out orders via our couriers
• Managing the Pharmacy near misses and creating action plans
• Working with the Risk and Safety team to root cause and resolve incidents
• Working proactively with Service and other internal teams to ensure orders are dispatched in a timely manner
• Proactive problem-solving and innovation, contributing towards service development and patient experience
• Work with the Pharmacy Manager to train and develop the Pharmacy workforce
• Work with the compounding team to supply medicines
• Work with the Pharmacy Manager and Supply Chain team to manage inventory

• Registered with the pharmacy regulator (GPhC)
• Demonstrate high levels of professional expertise
• A passion for pharmacy and providing the best care for our customers.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team-centred approach
• Have excellent knowledge of pharmacy operations and provisions of national and local services
• Role model communication skills; you will hold excellent face to face interactions to effectively meet the varied needs of customers and patients in pharmacy

Please note we can consider both part time and full time for this position, for the right candidate, however we will prioritise those who can work weekends.
