Job summary

Voy is seeking a driven pharmacist to join our team in the Verda Park area, Wallingford. This role welcomes a junior or senior level professional ready to contribute to a fast-paced environment and align pharmacy objectives with company growth and strategy.

You will report to the site’s Superintendent Pharmacist and work with the Head of Pharmacy to run daily operations, train staff, and ensure high standards of patient care and service quality.

Qualifications

• Registered with the GPhC is required.
• Experience in a fast-paced setting is preferred.
• Excellent patient-facing communication and team collaboration.
• Weekend availability in regular rotation is expected.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs and operational guidelines.
• Maintain compliance with practice standards.
• Assist in developing and maintaining pharmacy procedures.
• Support the Pharmacy Manager and Deputy as needed.
• Check prescriptions and handle order dispatch with couriers.
• Help manage inventory and pharmacy-related risks.
• Collaborate with service teams to ensure timely orders.
• Contribute to service development and patient experience.

Job description

We are looking to hire a driven and ambitious junior or senior level pharmacist to join our team in Verda Park, Wallingford.

This is an ideal role for someone who wants to challenge themselves in a fast-paced environment and manage pharmacy objectives in line with company growth and strategy. You will join a growing team and have a meaningful impact on our patients and customers, reporting in to the site's Superintendent Pharmacist.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Follow our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Operational guidelines
• Maintaining compliance with our practice standards
• Helping the Superintendent Pharmacist to develop, implement and maintain Pharmacy procedures and processes.
• Working with the Head of Pharmacy and Pharmacy Manager to help run the Pharmacy
• Deputise for the Pharmacy Manager in their absence
• Checking dispensed prescriptions and sending out orders via our couriers
• Managing the Pharmacy near misses and creating action plans
• Working with the Risk and Safety team to root cause and resolve incidents
• Working proactively with Service and other internal teams to ensure orders are dispatched in a timely manner
• Proactive problem-solving and innovation, contributing towards service development and patient experience
• Work with the Pharmacy Manager to train and develop the Pharmacy workforce
• Work with the compounding team to supply medicines
• Work with the Pharmacy Manager and Supply Chain team to manage inventory

You must be able to commit to at least one or both weekend days on a regular, weekly basis as part of your working days.

• Have excellent knowledge of pharmacy operations and provisions of national and local services
• Role model communication skills; you will hold excellent face to face interactions to effectively meet the varied needs of customers and patients in pharmacy
