Job summary

Rowlands Pharmacy in Luton is seeking a Pharmacist (newly qualified could be considered) to join our community-focused branch. You will dispense prescriptions accurately, provide medication counselling, and work with doctors and nurses to optimise patient care.

The role uses ProScript System, with duties including reviews, maintaining records, immunisations where applicable, and contributing to public health initiatives.

Qualifications

• GPhC registration is required and applicant must be a licensed Pharmacist.
• Proven experience in a community pharmacy setting.
• Strong commitment to patient care and safety.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all legal and ethical guidelines.
• Provide medication counselling and support to patients, answering their questions and addressing concerns.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including doctors and nurses, to optimize patient care.
• Conduct medication reviews and ensure safe and effective medication management.
• Maintain accurate patient records and manage pharmacy inventory.
• Provide immunization services (where applicable).
• Offer advice on over-the-counter medications and healthcare products.

Working Hours: Average of 46.5 hours per week Monday to Friday 09:00 - 18:00 with alternate Saturdays 09:00 - 12:00

This branch is staffed with an experienced team including a non pharmacist manager, training to be ACPT, 2 dispensers, 3 healthcare partners and 1 trainee providing an excellent service to the local community from their setting within a town.

Currently dispensing around 10,000 items per month, this is a relatively busybranch. As well as providing a variety of services, such as weight management, contraception, flu, Covid and Meningitis B vaccines, this branch also utilises our Medipac robotic distribution technology. This frees up your time to provide the care our patients deserve.

This branch uses ProScript System.
