Job summary

Russell Taylor Group is offering a Pharmace vtical Materials Scientist role in Wirral. The position involves a hands-on laboratory environment performing particle size analysis, microscopy and material characterization on pharmaceutical materials.

You will conduct physical testing, operate analytical lab equipment and help interpret results to support development and investigation work.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Pharmaceutical Science or related subject.
• 1-2+ years' relevant laboratory experience is desirable.
• Experience with particle size analysis and microscopy is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out particle size analysis, microscopy and material characterization.
• Perform analytical testing on pharmaceutical materials in a hands-on laboratory role.
• Record and interpret laboratory data accurately and troubleshoot issues.
• Support development and investigative work and assist with new equipment or processes.

Pharmaceutical Materials Scientist

Location: Wirral

Hours: 35 hours, Monday-Friday

£32,000 CIRCA

Russell Taylor is working with a global testing company; who are looking to recruit for an experienced Scientist (particle size, microscopy etc); the company are expanding and it's a great time to join this growing business.

This is a hands-on laboratory role involving particle size analysis, microscopy, material characterisation and analytical testing.

You will be hands-on in the laboratory, carrying out a range of physical and analytical testing across pharmaceutical materials, supporting development and investigative work.

Your experience may include:

• Particle size analysis
• Microscopy and morphology assessment
• Powder flow characterisation
• BET / surface area testing
• Physical testing of pharmaceutical materials
• Operating analytical laboratory equipment
• Investigating results and troubleshooting technical issues
• Accurate recording and interpretation of laboratory data
• Supporting new equipment and process implementation

We're looking for:

• Degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Pharmaceutical Science or related subject
• Ideally 1-2+ years' relevant laboratory experience
• Previous experience with particle size analysis and microscopy
• Experience in XRF, XRD
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
• Pharmaceutical experience would be advantageous
