Job summary

Almac Group in Charnwood is seeking a Stores Senior Operator Grade 2 to manage receipt, storage, transfer and dispatch of pharmaceutical materials in a regulated warehouse. The role emphasizes inventory accuracy, GMP/GDP compliance and safe material handling, with local inter-site transport using company vehicles.

You will lead shifts as senior warehouse representative, train others, and contribute to continuous improvements, with full HGV training provided.

Qualifications

• 5 GCSEs, or equivalent, at grades A-C, or significant previous experience in a senior warehouse operator role.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to obtain and maintain the HGV licence and related qualifications within 12 months.
• Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics or distribution environment.
• Experience working independently in a regulated environment and following procedures.
• Experience using warehouse management, ERP systems and inventory control.
• Good communication, teamwork, numerical accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Managing the compliant receipt, storage, issue, transfer and dispatch of pharmaceutical materials.
• Completing warehouse and inventory transactions accurately using systems.
• Maintaining material traceability and stock accuracy in GMP/GDP conditions.
• Operating company HGV vehicles for local inter-site deliveries and handling transport documentation.
• Operating forklift trucks and material-handling equipment safely.
• Providing day-to-day guidance to Warehouse Operators and supporting shift handovers and training.
• Identifying improvements across warehouse, inventory, transport and logistics processes.
