Job summary

Talentmark is recruiting a Procurement Associate to join a leading pharmaceutical company on a contract basis for 8 months. The role is hybrid, with 3 days per week in the Basingstoke office.

You will plan tender processes, negotiate terms, and develop supplier contracts while guiding internal teams and ensuring compliance with financial policies.

The ideal candidate has category management experience, strong supplier relationships, and excellent English. CIPS qualification is desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience in category management and running competitive sourcing processes.
• Experience working with external suppliers and contracting.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Able to manage multiple projects with minimal guidance.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and AI tools.
• Desirable: CIPS qualification or equivalent degree/experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and run tendering processes from strategy to supplier selection.
• Negotiate strong commercial terms and develop contracts within categories.
• Collaborate with business owners to optimise supplier value and act as escalation point.
• Provide commercial guidance to internal teams and shape supplier lists and category strategies.
• Identify and mitigate risks with third-party suppliers and ensure buying policies are followed.
