Job summary

Organon is seeking a Process Scientist/Engineer for its manufacturing site in Cramlington, Northumberland. The role drives technical operations projects, including transfers, equipment qualification, and validation to ensure safe, compliant and timely delivery of products.

The position operates within a Lean Six Sigma framework, supporting improvements, training, and cross-functional collaboration. It is a 24-month fixed term contract with a focus on quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or process support.
• Positive approach to teamwork and continuous improvement.
• Proven ability to communicate and influence in cross-functional settings.
• Project management skills in lean manufacturing environments.
• Strong time management and organisational skills to prioritise and meet deadlines.
• Ability to anticipate issues and elevate effectively.
• Analytical problem solving with root cause analysis to improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise for packaging processes, transfers, new equipment, testing and qualification.
• Investigate deviations and establish causes, proposing actions to minimise rework and improve capability.
• Coordinate process and cleaning validation activities and oversee sampling.
• Participate in cross-functional site teams on specialist topics with minimal support.
• Assist in site compliance with policies, procedures and SOPs and contribute to documentation.
• Contribute to training within Technical Services and educate other areas on roles and responsibilities.
• Support Quality initiatives with a focus on Quality Risk Management principles.
• Champion Operational Excellence and continuous improvement using Lean Six Sigma tools.
