Job summary

AstraZeneca Macclesfield is seeking an Operational Coordinator for Mon-Thurs night shifts. You will coordinate short-term production, ensure GMP compliance, and support continuous improvement within the manufacturing operations.

You will collaborate with PET Circle Leaders, QA and operations teams, conduct readiness checks, and help maintain a safe, efficient production environment while coaching colleagues and delivering on production plans.

Qualifications

• Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.
• Aseptic or clean-area production experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to decide and support production schedules under pressure.
• Operational knowledge of manufacturing procedures and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate short-term production and resource planning with teams.
• Support delivery of production schedules while maintaining SHE and GMP.
• Conduct production readiness checks and ensure proper resources and docs.
• Maintain an inspection-ready manufacturing environment.
• Resolve operational issues with QA and support teams.
• Complete GMP and batch documentation for batch release.
• Raise and investigate Quality Notifications as needed.
• Monitor performance and identify safety, quality, efficiency improvements.
• Apply Lean tools and lead continuous improvement activities.
• Coach operating teams and provide on-the-job guidance.
