Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of engineering principles.
• Technical knowledge or experience within utilities, plant or engineering operations.
• Knowledge of relevant safety, environmental and GxP requirements.
• Proficiency in observing procedures and ensuring accurate record-keeping.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to coordinate priorities and complete work to agreed timelines.
• The confidence to work independently and collaboratively.
• A proactive approach to identifying and resolving problems.
• Good English-language skills and secondary-level education.

Responsibilities

• Operate, supervise and carry out basic maintenance on utilities equipment and systems.
• Complete planned maintenance, compliance testing and safety checks.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and help restore services promptly.
• Identify and communicate equipment, performance or compliance concerns.
• Maintain accurate equipment documentation and handle SAP notifications.
• Raise Quality Notifications when required.
• Issue and follow Safe Systems of Work for colleagues and contractors.
• Collect and record engineering data to support equipment performance.
• Use continuous improvement tools to identify trends and reduce recurring issues.
• Contribute to engineering improvement projects and safety initiatives.
• Maintain information relating to Bills of Materials and critical spares.
• Support and mentor less-experienced colleagues and new starters.
• Complete required Safety, Health and Environment and Good Manufacturing Practice training.
• Work collaboratively with Quality Assurance, Engineering, maintenance teams, site customers and external contractors.
