Job summary

Hyper Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking a proactive Maintenance Engineer for a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer in the UK. This site-based role covers electrical and mechanical maintenance across the production cycle to ensure safe, compliant and efficient operation.

You will perform installation, commissioning and preventative maintenance, troubleshoot breakdowns, and implement continuous improvement initiatives. A degree in engineering and GMP/ATEX awareness are preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Proven experience in a regulated environment (clean room preferred).
• Knowledge of GMP, safety standards and pharmaceutical regulations; COMPEX certification advantageous.
• ATEX experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide multi-skilled maintenance support to the manufacturing department, ensuring machinery reliability and operational efficiency.
• Carry out installation, commissioning, maintenance, and modification of electrical and mechanical equipment, aligned with business needs.
• Troubleshoot reactive repairs and develop preventative maintenance plans, with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Develop and implement cost-effective solutions to improve machinery performance, minimize downtime, and enhance safety standards.
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth and compliant maintenance operations.
