Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a factory operative to fold and pack pharmaceutical cartons in a fast-paced packing line in Leicester. You will set folding machines, ensure quality, meet planned outputs, and maintain clean, safe work areas.

Key duties include interpreting job orders, running equipment, learning leaflet insertion and tag applicators, producing labels, counting items, performing basic maintenance, and supervising crew as needed. A focus on hygiene and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to work flexibly as part of a team.
• Maintain hygiene and procedural standards in our industry.
• Experience with machines, ideally in pharma/printing/food environment.
• Quality conscious and detail oriented.
• Good numeracy and literacy.

Responsibilities

• Set and run the folding machine to meet quality and planned output.
• Interpret the job bag (virtual work ticket).
• Learn setup for Leaflet insertion and Tag applicator.
• Understand HHS Gluing Systems and produce labels for packing trays/boxes.
• Operate counting machinery and ensure the work area remains clean under 5S.
