Job summary

AbbVie in Maidenhead is seeking a Data Scientist to design, develop, scale and maintain advanced analytics and ML solutions for the affiliate. The role translates business questions into robust analytical models that deliver measurable business value.

Working with Business Analysts, Data Analysts, BTS and technical partners, you will define use cases, timelines and success criteria, and support deployment of scalable, compliant analytics solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in data science, statistics, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience in data science, machine learning, AI, analytics or modelling.
• Proven experience delivering predictive, prescriptive, or ML solutions with business impact.
• Strong programming skills in Python, R, or similar languages.
• Experience with model development, validation, deployment, maintenance and monitoring.
• Ability to work with complex or imperfect datasets and derive practical solutions.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to translate business problems into analytics.
• Experience in regulated industries is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and governance requirements.
• Communicate model logic and insights clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
