Job summary

Eurofins PSS Insourcing Solutions is recruiting an Analytical Chemical Process Development Scientist to provide on-site analytical support at the Bristol Myers Squibb Moreton facility in Wirral. The role focuses on method development and proof-of-concept validation across pharmaceutical materials, delivering accurate results within deadlines.

The candidate should have a Chemistry degree with strong chromatographic knowledge, experience in pharma environments, and proficiency with ELNs/LIMS.

Qualifications

• Must have a degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
• Significant relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.
• Strong knowledge of organic reactions, analytical testing and chromatographic techniques.
• Experience with HPLC, UPLC, GC, MS, IC, CAD and Karl Fischer is highly desirable.
• Experience in a pharmaceutical development environment and data interpretation is expected.
• Familiarity with ELNs, LIMS and MS Office is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform non-routine analysis of pharmaceutical materials (APIs) using analytical techniques (HPLC, GC, MS).
• Support technology transfers for new substances and ensure alignment with client procedures.
• Review analytical data for compliance and manage OOS/OOE investigations and action limits.
• Document data per client policies and approve results for tests you are trained for.
• Maintain productivity targets and support audits, method revisions, and testing of samples.
• Liaise with client representatives and support continuous improvement initiatives.
