Job summary

Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a PFI Contracts Manager to oversee a private finance initiative building contract and its budget. The role focuses on monitoring payments, auditing the contract and resolving disputes between building users, the facilities provider and the project company.

Hours are open to discussion; visa sponsorship is not offered. The post requires a degree in property/estates management or equivalent experience and strong contract management and

Qualifications

• PFI contract management, including performance management
• Leading, negotiating and delivering robust contracts
• Financial management, budget management and reconciling contract expenditure accounts
• Management-level contracts work
• Working with staff and managers at all levels, including senior management

Responsibilities

• Manage the PFI payment mechanism and its budget, monitoring and reporting all sums against it
• Monitor and apply contractual provisions, and resolve complex queries and disputes
• Ensure the FM provider meets the contract's performance specifications
• Carry out contractual audits
• Liaise between building users, FM Co and Project Co to resolve issues
• Chair regular meetings with the parties to review contract performance
• Act as liaison between the Trust's technical teams and FM Co
• Progress and monitor small works and variation order requests
• Protect the Trust's position at all times
