Job summary

INSPIRED Pet Nutrition is hiring a Machine Operative - Extruder at our Thirsk area site in North Yorkshire. You will join the Extruder department, overseeing the extrusion of dog, cat and small animal kibble according to a nutritionally formulated recipe.

The role offers permanent, site-based employment with 48 hours per week and a competitive hourly rate. Training will be provided, with opportunities for overtime and progression within a renowned pet nutrition company.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role within manufacturing.
• Capable of manual handling up to 25kg.
• Able to communicate clearly in English.

Responsibilities

• Extrude a variety of dog, cat and small animal kibble following approved recipes.
• Ensure kibble meets size, shape and weight specifications.
• Perform pre-start checks and report issues to the Team Leader.
• Maintain high standards of food safety compliance throughout production.
• Carry out hourly production checks and escalate problems promptly.
