Job summary

INSPIRED Pet Nutrition is seeking a Machine Operative for the Extruder department at our manufacturing site near Thirsk, North Yorkshire. You will support the extrusion of dog, cat and small animal kibble and ensure the finished product meets our strict specifications.

The role is site-based on a 42-hour week with day and night shifts. Training is provided, you will carry out pre-start checks, monitor hourly production, and report issues to the Team Leader while upholding Food Safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role within Manufacturing.
• Live within 30 miles of YO7 3HE and have your own transport.
• Good literacy and numerical skills in English.
• Able to lift up to 25 kg.
• Food Hygiene Accreditation - desirable.

Responsibilities

• Extrude a variety of dog, cat and small animal kibble.
• Ensure kibble meets specifications for size, shape and weight.
• Perform blending, mixing and cooking of raw materials as required.
• Follow process training and run line tasks independently.
• Maintain high quality through compliance with Food Safety standards.
