Job summary

INSPIRED Pet Nutrition is seeking a Hygiene Operative for our Thirsk site to uphold hygiene standards across CIC'S, SOP'S and company procedures. The role ensures food safety, quality, legality and customer expectations are met.

The position is permanent, site-based, offering 48 hours per week with a 6:00–16:00 shift pattern (Mon-Thu) and 06:00–14:00 on Fridays. Transport is required due to limited public routes to the factory.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hygiene or similar role.
• Basic knowledge of Health and Safety.
• Ability to complete tasks thoroughly.
• Understanding of basic food safety.

Responsibilities

• Complete scheduled cleaning to CIC'S standards.
• Maintain hygiene operations with COSHH, product safety, legality & quality.
• Promote clean-as-you-go and uphold daily standards.
• Wear PPE correctly (hairnet, safety shoes, overalls, gloves, goggles).
• Report pest activity to Line Manager.
• Be proactive about Hygiene requirements and multiskilled ability.
• Demonstrate knowledge of cleaning equipment and materials.
• Ensure a safe working environment aligns with policy.
