Job summary

Alliance Medical in Plymouth is seeking a PET CT Radiographer/Technologist to join our Derriford Hospital site. The role requires HCPC registration or equivalent, with a Nuclear Medicine background and PET-CT experience preferred.

Keen on cannulation and radiopharmaceutical handling, with training provided where needed. You will support a patient-centred service, work flexibly across teams and sites, and contribute to high standards of care and efficiency.

Job Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and motivated PET CT Radiographer/Technologist to join our team at our Derriford Hospital Site in Plymouth.

The successful candidate will have either HCPC or an equivalent voluntary registration, you should have a background in Nuclear Medicine, preferably with experience of PET-CT, and be experienced in handling and dispensing radiopharmaceuticals. A high level of competency in cannulation is preferable.

A candidate with significant experience working as a Radiographer will also be considered as training in PET-CT can be provided.

You should have a patient-focused attitude to ensure patient care is delivered to the highest standards of quality and efficiency. We are looking for a flexible, adaptable team player who has excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Main duties of the job

You will undertake a competency programme in PET-CT to develop your knowledge and help you gain a full understanding of PET-CT. Training will be delivered "On the Job" and in collaboration with the Christie School of Oncology via the PET-CT training academy. You will also be required to IV cannulate patients as part of the role. Rest assured, should you not have any prior experience in IV cannulation, Alliance Medical will provide full training.
