Job summary

Alliance Medical Leicester PET-CT Centre is seeking a skilled PET-CT Radiographer/Technologist to join the team. You should hold HCPC registration and have Nuclear Medicine/PET-CT experience, with cannulation and radiopharmaceutical handling skills. Training will be provided, and DBS clearance is required.

Flexibility to work across sites will be advantageous. Excellent patient care and communication are essential as you contribute to high-quality imaging services across our centres,

Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and motivated PET CT Radiographer/Technologist to join our team at our Leicester PET-CT Centre.

The successful candidate will have either HCPC or an equivalent voluntary registration, you should have a background in Nuclear Medicine, preferably with experience of PET-CT, and be experienced in handling and dispensing radiopharmaceuticals. A high level of competency in cannulation is preferable.

A candidate with significant experience working as a Radiographer will also be considered as training in PET-CT can be provided.

You should have a patient-focused attitude to ensure patient care is delivered to the highest standards of quality and efficiency. We are looking for a flexible, adaptable team player who has excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

You will undertake a competency programme in PET-CT to develop your knowledge and help you gain a full understanding of PET-CT. Training will be delivered “On the Job” and in collaboration with the Christie School of Oncology via the PET-CT training academy. You will also be required to IV cannulate patients as part of the role. Rest assured, should you not have any prior experience in IV cannulation, Alliance Medical will provide full training.
