Job summary

Omega is recruiting a Pest Control Technician to provide comprehensive pest management across important supermarket contracts in the United Kingdom. The role requires visiting stores, food halls, depots, and offices, handling infestations, proofing, and detailed reporting to the Area Manager.

You will work on a 45-hour week with standby shifts and travel time paid after half an hour each way. A pension scheme and employee discounts are offered, along with overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• RSPH Level 2 Award in Pest Management (or equivalent).
• Full driving license.
• Experience in pest control environments.
• Retail, leisure or FM sector experience desirable.
• Able to follow safety guidelines and report findings clearly.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of all pest related issues, including infestations, cleaning and proofing.
• Respond promptly to emergency call outs from the Helpdesk.
• Formulate detailed reports on stores and escalate issues to stakeholders.
• Identify non-repairable faults in plant/machinery and advise on replacements.
• Carry out proofing works and installations per current specifications.
• Advise SM of pest activity and impact on store operations.
• Comply with Health and Safety policies at all times.
• Use pesticides safely and responsibly as specified.

My client is on the lookout for an experienced Pest Control Technician to join the team. You will have the opportunity to work on one of their leading supermarket contracts.

The role will involve will to provide complete pest control services (including proofing) to their client to control all pest species.

The role will require visiting stores, food halls, outlets, depots & also office sites at agreed intervals governed by the specification service delivery.

• Take ownership of all pest related issues, i.e. infestations/cleaning/proofing, to resolve ongoing problems.
• Respond promptly to genuine emergency call outs from the Helpdesk.
• Formulate detailed reports on stores, escalating issues to all relevant stakeholders.
• To identify infestation non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise the Area Manager of findings, with recommendations regarding suitable replacement.
• To prioritise detailed recommendations to stores and to achieve agreed timescales and response times to proactively defend against Pest activity.
• To carry out proofing works and installations within the individual’s technical competence in accordance with current specifications.
• To advise and document to the SM of any pest activity and how this may be detrimental to the smooth running of the store.
• To always comply with the company Health and Safety Policy.
• Use pesticides in a safe and responsible manner as specified under the Control of Substances
