Job summary

Omega Resource Group are seeking an experienced Pest Control Technician to join their team in London (Inside M25). The role focuses on providing complete pest control services, including proofing, across retail stores and office sites under a defined specification.

You will visit stores, depots, food halls and outlets to deliver proactive pest management, with a 45-hour week and a salary of £42,820.29, inclusive of LWA and standby payments.

Qualifications

• Experience in pest control environments.
• Retail, leisure or FM sector experience desirable.
• Full driving licence required.
• Experience in retail, leisure or FM sector is desirable

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of pest issues (infestations, cleaning, proofing) and resolve problems.
• Respond to emergency call outs from Helpdesk promptly.
• Prepare detailed reports for stores and escalate issues to stakeholders.
• Identify non-repairable faults in plant/machinery and advise on replacements.
• Prioritise recommendations to stores to meet timescales and defend against pests.
• Carry out proofing works and installations per current specifications.
• Advise SM on pest activity and potential impact on store operations.
• Comply with Health and Safety policies and safe pesticide use.

Pest Control Technician

My client is on the lookout for an experienced Pest Control Technician to join the team. You will have the opportunity to work on one of their leading supermarket contracts.

The role will involve will to provide complete pest control services (including proofing) to their client to control all pest species.

The role will require visiting stores, food halls, outlets, depots & also office sites at agreed intervals governed by the specification service delivery.

Key Responsibilities – Pest Control Technician

• Take ownership of all pest related issues, i.e. infestations/cleaning/proofing, to resolve ongoing problems.
• Respond promptly to genuine emergency call outs from the Helpdesk.
• Formulate detailed reports on stores, escalating issues to all relevant stakeholders.
• To identify infestation non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise the Area Manager of findings, with recommendations regarding suitable replacement.
• To prioritise detailed recommendations to stores and to achieve agreed timescales and response times to proactively defend against Pest activity.
• To carry out proofing works and installations within the individual’s technical competence in accordance with current specifications.
• To advise and document to the SM of any pest activity and how this may be detrimental to the smooth running of the store.
• To always comply with the company Health and Safety Policy.
• Use pesticides in a safe and responsible manner as specified under the Control of Substances

Qualifications & Experience – Pest Control Technician

• RSPH Level 2 Award in Pest Management (or equivalent)
• Full driving license.
• Experience with Pest control environment.
• Experience in retail, leisure or FM sector is desirable.

• 45 hour week
