Job summary

You will review returns, advise on estate and wealth structuring, and spot opportunities to optimise tax strategies. The role requires strong communication, technical expertise, and the ability to manage complex workloads with Partners.

Qualifications

• CTA qualification with at least 5 years’ post-qualification experience.

Responsibilities

• Review personal tax returns prepared by consultants and provide technical guidance.

• Identify opportunities to restructure clients’ tax affairs and discuss with Partner and client.
• Act as a trusted point of contact for clients alongside the Partner.

TPF Recruitment are delighted to be working with a long-standing, highly regarded accountancy practice based in the KT area. Due to continued growth, they are looking to bring a Personal Tax Manager into their successful private client team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced private client tax professional who thrives on delivering both compliance and advisory services to a prestigious client base of high-net-worth individuals, including UK and non-UK domiciled clients.

The Role

As Senior Manager, you will play a key role in shaping client relationships and delivering specialist advice. Your day-to-day will include:

Reviewing personal tax returns prepared by consultants and providing technical guidance

Advising on estate planning, inheritance tax planning, wealth structuring and domicile matters

Spotting opportunities for restructuring clients’ tax affairs and discussing these with the Partner and client

Acting as a trusted point of contact for clients, alongside the Partner

Handling HMRC tax investigations when required

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

The practice is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable individual who is both technically strong and a confident communicator. You should be able to deliver accurate advice to a demanding client base and manage workflows in a busy environment.

To be considered, you will ideally have:

CTA qualification with at least 5 years’ post-qualification experience

A proven track record of working with complex UK and non-domiciled HNW clients

Strong technical knowledge across personal tax planning and advisory work

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to remain calm under pressure and deliver to deadlines
