Clark wood is looking for a Personal Tax Senior to join a firm in their Coventry Office.
This role will provide the opportunity to build on, and share, your existing personal tax knowledge and experience.
Responsibilities and Duties
The successful candidate will be responsible for a diverse portfolio of personal tax clients and will be expected to take full ownership for all areas of personal tax compliance and identifying potential tax planning strategies to assist clients in paying the correct amount of tax.
The advertised role is very much a personal tax compliance role, so an in-depth knowledge of personal tax (including sole traders and partnerships), trusts and estates, capital gains, residence and domicile issues and the ability to discuss these areas accurately and in a confident manner is a key requirement.
A good awareness of other taxes would be a clear advantage as there will also be an opportunity to be involved in corporation tax reviews and other advisory/project work.
As a senior team member, you will be required to provide guidance to more junior tax staff members and provide guidance as appropriate.
Qualification and Skills
You will be ATT qualified with a minimum of three years practical experience in a personal tax role (or the equivalent gained by experience).
You will be a team player with strong interpersonal skills
You will have excellent communication (both verbal and written) and organisational skills.
You will excel at problem solving and analytical thinking

Desirable
Experience with Iris Personal Tax software.
