Clark Wood - Tax Recruitment is supporting a growing accountancy practice in Hornchurch to recruit a Personal Tax Semi Senior. The role offers exposure to a varied private client portfolio and development within a supportive environment.

This position suits someone with personal tax experience looking to progress, with ongoing training and exposure to Self Assessment, capital gains tax, and inheritance tax matters.

Qualifications

• Experience in a personal tax role within an accountancy practice.
• Working knowledge of UK personal tax compliance and Self Assessment.
• Studying towards ATT or willing to pursue further qualifications.
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive approach with a willingness to learn and develop; able to manage workloads and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the management of a portfolio of personal tax clients.
• Preparing Self Assessment tax returns for individuals, directors, sole traders and partnerships.
• Supporting with capital gains tax and inheritance tax compliance matters.
• Handling client queries and corresponding with HMRC on their behalf.
• Ensuring tax compliance deadlines are met accurately and efficiently.
• Assisting senior members of the tax team with advisory projects where required.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes and deliver an excellent client experience.
