Personal Injury Casualty EL/PL Solicitor – Manchester

The leading healthcare team of this national top-tier firm is seeking an experienced employers liability / public liability solicitor to defend cases for public and private healthcare clients. While defendant EL/PL experience is preferred, claimant experience will also be considered.

Summary

Nature of the role

The role involves defending a range of matters for healthcare clients, including primary healthcare trusts and hospital trusts. Cases vary from straightforward slips and trips to complex accidents at work, such as crush injuries and needle stick injuries.

You will develop your own caseload of fast track and multi-track EL/PL cases, while assisting on complex matters. Due to the diverse client base, no two cases are the same, offering challenging and unique work.

Day-to-day responsibilities

The successful candidate will manage their own caseload, handling all aspects of each case, including:

• Client secondments and other opportunities, including working closely with client hospital or trust legal teams.
• Participation in client training and business development activities.
• Mentoring and training less experienced staff, such as Paralegals and Litigation Executives.
