Job summary

G2 Legal Limited is seeking a Personal Injury Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join a claimant team in Poole. You will handle a varied caseload from instruction through settlement and trial, with opportunities to work on clinical negligence matters and develop your career.

The role requires 2–5 years' PQE in claimant PI, strong negotiation and client-handling skills, and a pragmatic, commercial approach to case management. Salary up to £60,000 DOE, Dorset location.

Personal Injury Solicitor/Chartered Legal Executive

Salary: Up to £60,000 DOE

An established and successful legal practice is looking to recruit a Personal Injury Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with 2-5 years' PQE to join its growing claimant team.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced fee earner looking for a varied caseload, genuine career progression and the chance to work within a supportive team where quality client service is highly valued.

The position

You will take responsibility for a varied portfolio of claimant matters, dealing with cases from initial instruction through to settlement and, where required, trial.

Your caseload is likely to include:

• Road traffic accident claims
• Employer's liability and public liability claims
• Serious and complex injury matters
• Fast-track and multi-track litigation
• Litigated and non-litigated claims
• Clinical negligence work

Alongside managing your own Personal Injury caseload, you will have the opportunity to become involved in Clinical Negligence matters, providing an excellent opportunity to broaden your experience.

What you'll be doing

• Running your own caseload with a high level of autonomy
• Providing clear, practical advice to clients throughout their claim
• Assessing liability, prospects and potential settlement outcomes
• Preparing pleadings, witness statements and other legal documentation
• Conducting negotiations with insurers, solicitors and other representatives
• Progressing matters efficiently and in line with agreed targets
• Working closely with medical experts, counsel and other third parties
• Ensuring files are maintained accurately and in accordance with regulatory requirements
• Contributing to networking and business development initiatives
• Providing guidance and support to junior colleagues, apprentices and trainees

What we're looking for

You will ideally be a qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with between 2 and 5 years' PQE gained within claimant Personal Injury.

You should have:

• Good knowledge of Personal Injury litigation and the Civil Procedure Rules
• Previous experience managing your own caseload
• Strong negotiation and advocacy skills
• Excellent communication and client-handling abilities
• A commercial and pragmatic approach to case management
• Good organisation skills and attention to detail
• The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a wider team

Previous experience of Clinical Negligence claims would be an advantage, although it is not essential.
