Job summary

We are working with an established and growing law firm in Nottingham who are looking to appoint an experienced Personal Injury Solicitor to join their friendly and supportive team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with a strong background in claimant personal injury litigation, particularly someone who has experience handling Multi-Track and complex cases and is looking for a role where they can take genuine ownership of their caseload.

The Role

You will manage your own caseload of claimant personal injury matters, dealing with a varied range of litigated claims and taking responsibility for more complex and substantial cases.

The role will include:

• Managing personal injury claims from initial instruction through to conclusion.
• Handling Multi-Track litigation and complex personal injury cases.
• Dealing with liability and quantum issues and providing clear, practical advice to clients.
• Preparing pleadings, witness statements, schedules of loss, court applications and other litigation documentation.
• Conducting legal research and reviewing medical and other evidence.
• Preparing cases for hearings and trials, including working with Counsel where required.
• Advising clients throughout the litigation process and maintaining excellent client relationships.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues while managing your own caseload with a high degree of autonomy.
• Contributing to the continued development of a busy and growing Personal Injury team.

About You

We are looking for an experienced Personal Injury Solicitor who can demonstrate:

• Qualification as a Solicitor with solid experience in claimant personal injury litigation.
• Proven Multi-Track experience is essential.
• Experience handling complex and higher-value personal injury claims.
• Strong knowledge of the litigation process and Civil Procedure Rules.
• Experience managing cases through to settlement and/or final hearing.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and analytical skills.
• Strong client-care and communication skills.
• The ability to manage a caseload independently and work proactively.
• A professional, collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a close-knit team.

Working Hours

This is a full-time, office-based position in Nottingham, with standard working hours of Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.30pm with a one-hour lunch.

Reduced hours will also be considered for the right candidate, so the role may suit an experienced solicitor looking to balance their career around childcare or other commitments.
