Job summary

CRA Consulting, on behalf of an established Nottingham law firm, is recruiting a Claimant Personal Injury Solicitor to join its expanding team. The role offers a varied caseload of claimant PI matters, including litigated claims, multi-track work and higher-value cases, with hybrid working options.

You will manage your own caseload from instruction to settlement, advise clients on progress and merits, draft pleadings and witness statements, and liaise with clients, insurers and experts while

Qualifications

• Solicitor with 1+ years' PQE or suitable claimant PI experience.
• Experience with claimant PI and litigated claims.
• Strong client-care and communication skills.
• Knowledge of Civil Procedure Rules.

Responsibilities

• Manage own caseload from instruction to settlement/conclusion.
• Handle litigated PI claims, including multi-track matters.
• Work across RTA, EL, PL and Occupiers' Liability claims.
• Advise clients on progress and merits during litigation.
• Draft pleadings, witness statements and loss schedules.
• Liaise with clients, insurers, medical experts, counsel.
• Monitor deadlines and progress of claims.
• Develop experience in higher-value matters.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain client care.

CRA Consulting is working with an established law firm in Nottingham to recruit a Claimant Personal Injury Solicitor to join its expanding team. This is an opportunity to join a supportive and well-established department, handling a varied caseload of claimant PI matters with exposure to litigated claims, multi-track work and higher-value cases. The role offers scope to develop your technical expertise, take greater ownership of your caseload and progress your career within a growing team.

The Role

You will manage a varied caseload of claimant Personal Injury matters, covering a range of claim types and levels of complexity. Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing your own caseload from initial instruction through to settlement or conclusion
• Handling litigated Personal Injury claims, including multi-track matters
• Working across RTA, Employers' Liability, Public Liability and Occupiers' Liability claims
• Advising clients on the progress and merits of their claims throughout the litigation process
• Drafting pleadings, witness statements, schedules of loss and other relevant legal documentation
• Liaising with clients, insurers, medical experts, counsel and other third parties
• Monitoring deadlines and ensuring claims progress efficiently
• Developing experience in more complex and higher-value matters
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of client care and service

About You

We are keen to hear from Solicitors with around 1 year's PQE or more, although candidates with suitable claimant PI experience outside this level will also be considered. You will ideally have:

• Experience handling claimant Personal Injury matters
• Exposure to litigated claims and an understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules
• Experience managing your own caseload and progressing matters independently
• Strong communication, negotiation and client-care skills
• Excellent organisation and the ability to manage competing priorities
• A proactive approach and a willingness to take responsibility for your work
• An interest in broadening your litigation experience and developing within Personal Injury

This role would suit a Solicitor looking for a hands-on position with a varied caseload, genuine responsibility and the opportunity to build experience across litigated and more complex claimant PI work.
