Job summary

The Lancashire Cluster of United Learning Trust Schools are seeking a Personal Guidance Officer to provide impartial, personalised CEIAG to students, enabling informed decisions about education, training and employment pathways.

You will deliver one-to-one career guidance, provide information on post-16 provision, and support careers events and workshops while maintaining guidance records and plans. Collaboration with pastoral and SEND teams is essential.

PERSONAL GUIDANCE OFFICER

The Lancashire Cluster of United Learning Trust Schools, Accrington Academy, Marsden Heights Community College and The Hyndburn Academy are seeking to appoint a Personal Guidance Officer to provide impartial, personalised careers education, information, advice and guidance (CEIAG) to students, enabling them to make informed decisions about education, training and employment pathways. The postholder will support students to raise aspirations, develop skills and progress successfully into positive destinations.

The postholder will:

• Deliver one-to-one career guidance
• Provide information on post-16 provision
• Deliver guidance sessions, workshops and presentations
• Support with careers events
• Maintain guidance records and actions plans
• Work closely with pastoral teams, SEND staff and external agencies

Key Performance Indicators within the role include:

• 100% completion of targeted personal guidance interviews for year 11 students.
• Contribution towards achieving Gatsby Benchmark 8
