Job summary

Leicestershire County Council Shared Lives Service is seeking a dedicated personal assistant to support a tetraplegic individual at home in Thurnby, Leicestershire. You will join a small, friendly household and work within a caregiving team to maintain daily routines and safety.

Full training is provided for all personal care tasks. Flexible full-time or part-time options are available, with guaranteed hours and paid holidays.

Qualifications

• No care experience required; full training provided.
• Private household role, PAYE with no agency involvement.

Responsibilities

• Personal care, including bowel and bladder management.
• Hoist transfers with full training provided.
• Support daily routines and household tasks.
• Meal preparation and light domestic duties.
• Drive wheelchair-accessible vehicle to appointments and activities.
• Occasional travel and overnight stays.
