A personal care support provider in Scotland seeks a Personal Care Assistant to assist individuals with physical and learning disabilities in their home. The role involves providing individual care and support with activities both at home and in the community. Essential qualities include good communication skills and a warm nature, while driving and transport are required. The position is permanent, offering a guaranteed 10 hours per week with a competitive hourly rate of £12.60.
We require a personal care assistant / support worker to assist a young man with a physical disability, learning disability and epilepsy and a young woman with autism, both living in the family home in Stonehouse.
You would provide one-to-one care, supporting each person individually at separate times (5 hours per week each) to provide assistance in the community, including participation in social activities.
Must take a proactive and innovative approach to support and encourage the individual to be involved in activities suited to their needs.
Favourite activities are 10-pin bowling, music, playing game consoles, going out for lunch (e.g. McDonald’s), and garden centres.
Epilepsy experience is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
Recruiting for one position. Guaranteed permanent position of 10 hours per week.

£12.60 per hour.
