• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
• Patient, caring, and resilient approach to supporting children with additional needs.
• Relevant qualifications such as Health & Social Care, Childcare, Teaching Assistant, Care Certificate, or equivalent are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care support including toileting, hygiene, dressing, feeding, and mobility while maintaining dignity.
• Support pupils throughout the school day meeting physical, emotional, and personal needs.
• Build positive relationships to help pupils feel safe, valued, and supported.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and therapists to enable access to learning opportunities.
• Support pupils during classroom activities, breaktimes, mealtimes, and visits as required.
• Maintain a calm, nurturing approach to promote positive behaviour and wellbeing.

A nurturing and inclusive Primary SEND School in Peterborough is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis from September. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality personal care support, including assistance with toileting, hygiene, dressing, feeding, and mobility, while maintaining pupils’ dignity and independence.
