Job summary

A leading company is seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to provide 1:1 support to a 10-year-old boy with ASD. You will help him access social opportunities, engage in activities like play and crafts, and get maximum enjoyment from life. Experience with ASD is beneficial, but training will be provided. This part-time role offers 7 hours per week, primarily on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

I am looking for a motivated, fun and dedicated person to provide 1:1 support to my 10 year old boy who has ASD. You will be required to help him to access social opportunities and activities, to keep him safe and to encourage him to enjoy play and crafts and generally get maximum enjoyment from his life.


Experience of working with children with ASD would be beneficial, but training to meet their needs can be provided.

• 7 per week, ideally on a Tuesday and Wednesday, with occasional weekend work. These will be mutually agreed. Some time may be spent together with another support worker and his sibling with the majority being on a 1-1 basis.
• 4 weeks paid holiday (pro rata) is provided (plus bank holidays).

You may be required to use your own vehicle to provide transport to activities, proof of business use on your car will be required and a clean driving licence. Mileage allowance will be paid

Enhanced DBS for working with children is required (this can be provided if none in place). References will be required.


This position is based in Dover and the rate of pay currently is £14.00 per hour.
