Job summary

Superior Healthcare in Hornchurch is seeking a dedicated Personal Assistant to support a young woman with a brain injury and epilepsy, helping her access the community and maintain independence.

You will follow an individual care plan, receive training, and work with family and professionals to ensure safety, dignity and wellbeing. The role offers day shifts Tue-Fri and a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• A caring, respectful and reliable approach.
• Good communication and listening skills.
• Ability to follow an individual care plan.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Previous care or support experience.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Experience with brain injuries and seizure management.
• An understanding of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)

Responsibilities

• Provide respectful, person-centred support.
• Support daily routines and agreed personal goals.
• Promote independence, choice and dignity.
• Provide personal care where this forms part of the individual care plan.
• Support social activities and access to the community where required.
• Build a consistent, trusting relationship with the person you support.
• Observe wellbeing and report changes or concerns.
• Maintain clear and accurate care records.
• Follow safeguarding and health and safety procedures.
• Work collaboratively with families, colleagues and professionals.
