About Me
I am a 58-year-old man who is deaf and has multiple disabilities. I am looking for a caring, reliable female Personal Assistant to support me with day-to-day living.
I like to remain as independent as possible but need some help around the home and getting out and about.
I enjoy going shopping when I feel up to it and am partial to a takeaway, especially a fish and chip dinner. Some days I have more energy than others, so I am looking for someone who is flexible and understands that my support needs can vary from day to day.
Hours and Rate of Pay
The rate of pay is £12.71 per hour. Hours are to be discussed at interview.
Location
Doncaster, DN7
What Would You Be Doing?
You will support me to get up in the morning and assist with personal care where required. You will help me maintain my home by carrying out household tasks, preparing meals, making drinks and ensuring things are kept organised.
Part of the role will involve supporting me in the community, including accompanying me shopping and driving me to hospital, GP and dental appointments. On days when I am not feeling up to going out, there will still be plenty to do around the house.
You will also assist me with my medication by dispensing it into a daily pill organiser and following a medication chart. In addition, I need support managing paperwork and correspondence, including reading post to me, helping with bills and administration, arranging services and contacting tradespeople when needed.
Most importantly, I am looking for someone who can provide practical support and companionship to help me live independently.
