Job summary

Purple DPSS in Armthorpe is recruiting a Female Support Worker / Personal Assistant to help a woman in her 60s live independently at home. The role involves personal care, mobility support, transfers with hoist, meal prep and social activities.

You will work 30 hours per week, across 7 days, with some overnight shifts. DBS check and right to work are required. Rate of pay is £12.71 per hour. This is a part-time, on-site position and carries the Disability Confident employer scheme.

Qualifications

• Experience in providing intimate personal care and support for adults.
• Ability to assist with transfers and mobility aids.
• Comfort with assisting across daily living activities and light household duties.

Responsibilities

Female Support Worker / Personal Assistant (PA)- PUR-188-684

I am a lady in my 60s living independently in my own home in Armthorpe. I have

spina bifida and am paralysed from the waist down. I use a powered wheelchair

and have good upper body strength, but require support with many day-to-day

tasks, personal care and transfers. I also have lymphoedema/lipoedema affecting

my legs, recurrent cellulitis infections and a pressure wound which is monitored by

District Nurses. My family have supported me for many years and I am now

looking to build a team of caring and reliable Personal Assistants to help me

remain independent and continue living life happily in my own home. I enjoy a

good chat and value kindness, patience and a sense of humour.

Hours and rate of

pay

Rate of pay: £12.71 per hour

Hours:30 hours per week. Support is required across 7 days per week and may

include some overnight support when required.

Location Armthorpe, Doncaster

DBS/Checks Enhanced DBS check required.

Right to Work and references will be needed.
