Job summary

Solo Support Services Ltd is seeking a Personal Assistant to support a 30-year-old man in Newark. You will help with daily living, personal care and getting out and about to activities such as wheelchair basketball, cinema trips, shopping, volunteering and physiotherapy.

The role offers up to 32 hours per week with full training provided. A full UK driving licence and your own vehicle with space for a manual wheelchair are essential.

Qualifications

• Full training will be provided.

• Previous care or PA experience is desirable, but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living and personal care as needed.

About me and the role

I’m a 30-year-old man looking for Personal Assistants to join me in Newark. I’m a full-time wheelchair user, and I’m looking for someone who can support me with everyday life — but this definitely isn’t a boring, sit-at-home kind of job!

Coming to wheelchair basketball with me

Heading to the cinema

Shopping and getting out and about

Helping me volunteer at the local food bank

Getting me to the swimming pool for physiotherapy

Chilling at home when that’s what I fancy

Helping with personal care and healthcare

I’m a big Manchester United fan, enjoy keeping busy and have a good sense of humour.

There’s also my cockapoo — so you’ll need to be happy around dogs!

• Waking overnight shifts once training is complete
