Job summary

Direct Payment Employer in Wales seeks a Personal Assistant to assist an individual at home in Ammanford with daily living tasks, including bathing, toileting and meal preparation. The role may involve gentle limb stretches when appropriate, supervision by a physiotherapist, and use of equipment such as a tilt table and tracking hoists.

Training is provided, and a wheelchair-accessible vehicle may be available. A driver is preferred but not essential.

Job description

The employer requires personal assistance with bathing, toileting and meal preparation. When appropriate, some gentle stretches to the limbs are given to alleviate pain and stiffness. We also have a tilt table which is easy to use, and training is given initially under the supervision of a physiotherapist. We have tracking hoists and a lift on the premises. We have a wheelchair accessible vehicle, a driver would be preferred but not essential. Training can be given if the PA has no previous experience.

This post is funded through the Direct Payments scheme and is intended to enable the individual to manage their support independently. Training can be provided as required and where available.

A Disclosure Barring Service Check (DBS) / criminal record check will require to be undertaken for this post. This will be completed on acceptance of job offer
