Job summary

Self Direct Support Options Fife is seeking two Personal Assistants to support a 40-year-old male client in Kettlebridge Area. The role involves 8 hours at respite and 6 hours at home, monthly, with a focus on companionship, consistency, and assisting during transfers. Training for medication may be provided if needed.

A PVG check is required. Ideal candidates are physically fit, patient, and able to adapt activities to the client’s interests (jigsaws, bowling, Deep Sea World, etc.).

Personal Assistant - Kettlebridge Area - 14 hours over a 4-week period (SDS/MP/324432)

We are looking for two personal care assistants to work as a pair for our client who is a 40-year-old male who would like some support around the house once a month and possibly to support at respite in the future. These hours would most likely be 8 hours when at respite and 6 hours when at home.

Our client enjoys jigsaws, people watching, going bowling, going to discos and attending Deep Sea world often. Companionship and building a relationship are very important to our client. Having consistency with a personal assistant is a must in this role also. The ability to think of other activities would also be beneficial.

Our client is a wheelchair user and needs support during transfers.

A good level of physical fitness would be beneficial in this role.

Our client also has limited communication and learning difficulties, so patience and repetition are needed. In this role there will be elements of personal care.

Medication training and specific training will also be given if needed. One of the team having a clean driver’s license is essential.

This role requires an enhanced check through PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups).
