Job description

Personal Assistant (FTC) Aldermore Bank PLC•London, UK
*FTC up to 12 months*
Aldermore Group – why we exist
Let us tell you a bit about us

We're Aldermore – the award-winning bank, trusted and highly rated by over a quarter of a million customers for more than a decade. With our range of specialist mortgages, savings accounts and business finance solutions, we're backing more people to go for it.

We thrive by saying “yes” to our customers. We respect the ingenuity of entrepreneurs and their startups; we give first-timers a leg-up onto the property ladder; we open up the lending market to many; and thousands of customers choose MotoNovo Finance every week to buy their next car, van or motorbike

This is where you come in. We are on a journey. A journey defined by a destination; to deliver on our purpose.

Let us tell you a bit about the opportunity

As a Personal Assistant, you'll work closely with some of the Group's most senior leaders, helping them make the most of their time, navigate competing priorities and deliver against key business objectives. This is a role where you'll become a trusted partner, providing high-quality support that enables leaders to perform at their best.

You'll have the opportunity to build relationships across the organisation, gain valuable insight into how major business decisions are made and work alongside a collaborative network of Personal Assistants who support one another across the Group. It's a varied, fast-paced role that offers a unique perspective on the wider business and the chance to make a real impact every day.

What will your day look like?
  • Managing and coordinating complex diaries and meeting schedules for senior leaders.
  • Acting as a gatekeeper of priorities, ensuring leaders are focused on what matters most.
  • Organising meetings and ensuring facilities, technology and logistics are in place.
  • Planning travel, accommodation and processing expenses in line with policy.
  • Managing calls, emails and correspondence, escalating urgent matters where appropriate.
  • Supporting leadership team meetings and wider team activities.
  • Building strong internal and external relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across the PA community to ensure seamless support.
What do we expect from you?
  • Experience supporting senior executives, ideally at Executive Committee level.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive approach, with the confidence to anticipate needs, solve problems and use sound judgement.
  • Good commercial awareness and an understanding of the demands of supporting senior leaders.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across the business and with external contacts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to draft correspondence on behalf of senior executives.
  • High levels of discretion and professionalism, with experience handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • Resilient and adaptable, remaining calm and effective when priorities change.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high‑quality work.
  • A collaborative approach, working closely with colleagues and the wider PA community to provide seamless support.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and collaboration tools.
  • An openness to embracing new technologies, including AI tools, to improve efficiency, simplify processes and enhance the support provided to senior leaders.
What can you expect from us?
  • A hybrid working policy, 3 days per week onsite in one of our offices
  • A friendly and flexible culture, the same as how we work with our customers.
  • A growing organisation that means there's lots of opportunities to progress
  • A drive for continuous improvement, which you will be empowered to get behind from day one.
  • And of course, you will be rewarded competitively, with a good range of core benefits and bonus potential.

Join us and we'll make the same promises to you as a colleague, as we do to each of our customers. We're committed to building a working environment that values respect, diversity, and compassion. We welcome people regardless of age, disability, gender identity, marital status, race, faith or belief, sexual orientation, socioeconomic background, and whether you're pregnant or on family leave.
