Job summary

Enable, a social care charity, is looking for Personal Assistants (Support Workers) to join our team in Blackburn.

You will support individuals with daily living tasks, mobility, and social activities, working 9:00–17:00 with overtime including overnight and weekends.

No prior care experience is required; we hire by values and transferrable skills, with training provided and a rewarding role helping people live more independent lives.

• Promote safety, wellbeing and independence for the people we support.
• Work as part of a bespoke team around each individual to meet their goals.

Part time contract; 8 hours per week

Shift pattern; 9:00 - 17:00 with overtime available including overnight support and Weekends

Maureen lives in her own flat, and loves living in the village of Blackburn. A typical day could be going to the knitting or dancing group, then nipping to the shops. Maureen likes to go for a walk every day to keep fit, and loves the beautiful Dunecht Estate especially. In her downtime, Maureen loves to keep up the soaps on TV, and she is a whizz at the game shows too. Maureen receives support 7 days a week, from 09:00 - 17:00 an 17:00 to overnight with staff sleeping over. It is not always possible for Maureen to enjoy life's 'simple pleasures' in her community without proper, dedicated support.
