Disability North is seeking compassionate support workers in Haxby, York to assist with personal care and daily activities for a young person with complex needs. The role includes social engagement, mobility support, and participation in community outings.

Experience in care is valued; full training and induction are provided. Roles include options for full-time and part-time shifts within a rotating schedule, with driving responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated empathy and respect for disabled individuals.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a small team.
• Willingness to travel to community activities and appointments.

Responsabilités

• Provide social support and participate in day services and activities.
• Assist with personal care including bathing, dressing, feeding, and medications.
• Assist with mobility transfers and use of hoist when needed.
• Prepare nutritious meals and keep living areas tidy and safe.
• Drive wheelchair-accessible vehicle when required.
