Job summary

LondonMidlands is seeking a Personal Assistant to support a 7-year-old boy with Cerebral Palsy in the SE15 area of London. The role involves 6 hours per week across 2–3 shifts, mainly school collection and in-home care with mobility support.

The ideal candidate has a caring, reliable nature, good communication skills, and is comfortable working with medical devices. Full training provided; DBS and references required.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required, but reliable and patient demeanor is essential.
• Ability to communicate clearly with family and carers.
• Willingness to learn and follow training provided.

Responsibilities

• School run in Peckham 2–3 days a week during term time.
• Assist with feeding via feeding tube as needed.
• Engage with client through conversation, stories, music and play.
• Provide personal care and support with continence and clothing changes.
• Assist with postural care using hoist equipment for comfort.
• Monitor digestive and mobility-related discomfort and relay needs.
