Job description

An opportunity has arisen for a Personal Assistant to join Children's Services, providing comprehensive executive and administrative support to senior Children's Services and Public Health Nursing managers.

The postholder will support a range of complex workstreams including Children's Services, Public Health Nursing, Child Protection and Adult Protection, and will play a key role in supporting governance processes, strategic priorities and service delivery across these areas.

You will have substantial experience in a Personal Assistant, Executive Assistant or senior administrative role and be able to work independently, exercising sound judgement when managing competing priorities and responding to changing service demands.

Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills are essential, together with the ability to manage complex diaries, coordinate meetings involving multiple agencies and stakeholders, prepare agendas and papers, record minutes and monitor actions through to completion.

The role requires experience of handling sensitive and highly confidential information, managing correspondence on behalf of senior managers, and maintaining effective communication with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

You should have advanced IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications, and experience of developing and maintaining administrative systems, records and databases. Experience within an NHS, Health and Social Care Partnership or multi-agency environment would be advantageous.

The successful candidate will be flexible, highly organiser and proactive, with the ability to work using their own initiative whilst contributing positively to a wider administrative team.

The contracted 36 hours will be worked Monday to Friday.
