Job summary

Independent Lives is recruiting a Personal Assistant to support a 22-year-old man with complex needs in a family home and community setting. You will work as part of a 2:1 team, providing personal care, mobility support, and health-related tasks in Bexhill-on-Sea.

Flexibility to cover holidays and sickness is valued, and there is an emphasis on reliability, confidentiality, and person-centred care. Full training will be provided and a full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Experience with complex needs preferred but not required.
• Right to work in the UK is required.
• Non-smoker due to medical reasons and infection risk.

Responsibilities

• Personal grooming assistance and daily care tasks.
• Eating and drinking assistance and hydration support.
• Moving and handling and medication prompting as needed.
• Documentation, care plans and daily records.
• Plan and support activities at home and in the community.
• Team collaboration and communication with family and professionals.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the care areas.
