UDirect Support is seeking a dedicated Personal Assistant to support a 7-year-old boy with autism in Whitehaven. You will provide personal care, feeding support, and emotional guidance to help him engage in enjoyable activities in the community and foster independence.

The child is minimally verbal and communicates with hand-leading and pointing. You will build a positive rapport to support meaningful, fun experiences and participate in activities such as soft play and outings to local venues.

Qualificações

• Experience caring for children, ideally with neurodiverse needs.
• Ability to support personal care and feeding in a compassionate manner.
• Experience building routines and promoting independence.

A caring and reliable Personal Assistant is required to support a lovely 7-year-old boy with autism in Whitehaven.

The role involves providing personal care, feeding support, and emotional and behavioural support, helping the child to access enjoyable activities in the community and develop his independence. The child is minimally verbal and communicates using hand-leading and pointing to express his needs and wishes.

He enjoys a variety of fun activities, including visits to soft play, trips to McDonald's, playing with foam, watching YouTube, using his tablet, and has a particular interest in Shark vacuum cleaners. The family are looking for a PA who can build a positive relationship with him and support him to enjoy meaningful, fun-filled experiences.
