Job summary

Denbighshire Direct Payments Support Team requires a personable Personal Assistant to support a 15-year-old boy during school holidays. The role is 6 hours per week at £13.50 per hour, for 1:1 supervision to help him access community activities and sports such as Taekwondo and swimming, as well as cinema and local groups.

Flexibility in days/hours and a good sense of humour are desirable to help him gain independence while staying safe. Driving licence is desirable for transport to activities.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children.
• Experience of working with children with disabilities.
• Desirable: Access to own vehicle and driving licence.

Responsibilities

• To access community based activities such as swimming and taekwondo.
• Provide 1:1 supervision when out in the community to ensure safety and independence.

6 HOURS per week - SCHOOL HOLIDAYS ONLY (Flexible days and hours) £13.50 per hour Personal assistant required funded through a direct payment, to enable a happy and energetic 15-year-old boy to access community and sporting activities such as Taekwondo, swimming as well as soft play and other local community groups. We are looking for a Personal Assistant to support our active son, who is full of energy and enjoys a wide range of sports and hobbies as well as visiting the cinema, the local theatre, soft play areas and attending various local community groups. Our son requires 1:1 supervision when out in the community to maintain his safety and to ensure he is able to access activities. We are looking for someone who has a good sense of humour to support our son to gain some independence away from the family home, maintain his safety and ensure his needs are met as well as support him to access fun and exciting activities of his own choice.
