Capability Scotland - SDS Brokerage is seeking a Personal Assistant to support a 9-year-old boy near Beattock, helping him live independently and providing respite for his mum. You will accompany him to activities, especially swimming, and assist with after-school routines.
Applicants must have a driving licence, be a strong swimmer, and comfortable with potential personal care. PVG scheme, right to work in the UK, and two referees are required.
I am a 9 year-old young man who lives near Beattock and am looking for a Personal Assistant to support me to live independently and provide some respite for my mum.I have a diagnosis of cerebral palsy, global development delay, cerebral visual impairment and undiagnosed autism.
I am looking for someone that can support me for 6 hours per week.This will be split into providing support to me for 4 hours per week and 2 hours cleaning support per week, depending on my needs.
The support is to take me to any activities that I wish to go to and I really like to go swimming.On occasion, there may be some requirement for support with my personal care.
I am looking for someone who is flexible, reliable, and has some knowledge of my conditions, especially in being able to help me with my emotional regulation.Due to my location, you will require a driving licence as I do not live on a bus route.You will need to be a strong swimmer and like animals.
Hours will be discussed at interview but will mainly be after school during term time and will require flexibility during the school holidays.
If you are successful you will need to provide evidence of your right to work in the UK.
You will be asked to provide the names of two referees.
